Overview
Learn the skills to work as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) and help assess and treat adults with anxiety and depression on this PGCert in Low Intensity Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Our expert academics will train you to deliver CBT informed psychological interventions within a stepped care model. You’ll complement your learning with clinical work in approved NHS Talking Therapies (NHSTT) service, allowing you to apply theory in a real-life setting working with patients. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a type of psychological treatment that focuses on helping people recognise and change unhelpful patterns in their thoughts and behaviours. CBT is an evidence-based treatment option recommended by The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for many mental health conditions, including anxiety and depression.
