Overview
Contemporary finance and business are underpinned by mathematics. Our BSc degree in Mathematics for Finance reflects the close connection between mathematics and industry. Throughout your studies you will develop a solid grounding in the fundamental concepts of pure mathematics and applied mathematics, as well as stochastic processes and stochastic analysis, which are central for applications to finance. Your learning will be shaped by inspirational and internationally-renowned academics who have expertise in a range of topics, and you will study in bespoke teaching spaces, designed by, and for, mathematicians. You will investigate the number theory studied by Pythagoras and the financial mathematics depended on every day in Wall Street, with strong analytical skills, logical reasoning and quantitative thinking, building a highly desirable set of graduate attributes that will set you apart in the employment marketplace. This course also offers you the opportunity to study with a Year Abroad or a Year in Industry.
