Mechanical Engineering, MSc

Our MSc in Mechanical Engineering provides you with a comprehensive understanding of modern mechanical engineering techniques, introducing you to examples from across disciplines and industries. This programme delivers research-informed and industry-aligned postgraduate education, that develops your advanced technical capability and creative design skills, while improving your professional judgement, ready for modern engineering practice. The course mirrors the structure of our MEng pathway while offering specialist MSc-level modules that provide deeper analytical, sustainable and research-focused learning. You also have the opportunity to undertake an additional year for an industry placement or project, providing you with valuable additional work experience.

If English is not your first language you will need an acceptable pass in an approved English Language qualification to make sure you get the full benefit from studying at Swansea. We consider a wide range of qualifications, including the Swansea University English Test, the British Council IELTS test (with a score of at least 6.5 and 5.5 in each component).
