This mechanical engineering top-up degree is ideal if you are currently qualified to QCF Level 5 Higher in the general area of mechanical engineering, and want to further your educational development to degree level and possibly beyond to master’s degree level. Eligible qualifications include Higher National Diplomas and foundation degrees.

2027-28 entry requirements For Clearing 2026 entry requirements, please refer to the information in the box above. A Level 5 qualification such as a Higher National Diploma (HND) or Diploma in higher education (DipHE) in a closely related discipline. A Level 5 is the equivalent of the first two years of a three year bachelors degree. International students must also provide evidence of English language skills equivalent to IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in each component.
