Applicant profile This course is suitable for all UK and international health and social care professionals, including allied health professionals, healthcare scientists, nurses, midwives, and doctors who want to develop the knowledge, skills, and qualities to be effective leaders in health and social care education. Standard entry requirements Home students To apply, please ensure you meet the following requirements and submit the necessary documents: Letter of reference Online application form including personal statement Passport copy Registered health or social care professional Undergraduate health or social care-related degree comparable to 120 credits at level 6 or equivalent International students To apply, please ensure you meet the following requirements and submit the necessary documents: English language – IELTS (Academic) 6.0 with no element less than 5.5 in each band Letter of reference Online application form including personal statement Passport copy Registered health or social care professional Undergraduate health or social care degree comparable to 120 credits at level 6 or equivalent We accept qualifications from all around the world. English language requirements If you are an international student and not from a majority English-speaking country, you will need IELTS 6.0 with no element below 5.5. We also accept a range of other English language qualifications. If you do not have the English language requirements, you could take the Pre-Sessional English course to gain entry onto this degree. Alternative entry requirements Salford Alternative Entry Scheme (SAES) We welcome applications from students who may not have formal/ traditional entry criteria but who have relevant experience or the ability to pursue the course successfully. The Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) process could help you to make your work and life experience count. The APL process can be used for entry onto courses or to give you exemptions from parts of your course. Two forms of APL may be used for entry: the Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) or the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL). Fees and funding Tuition fees are calculated pro-rata based on the full Master’s programme rate. PGDip and PGCert fees will vary proportionally to the number of credits you study, as these qualifications require fewer credits to complete than a full Master’s degree.
