Overview
This course is aimed at qualified paramedics working within the Ambulance Service. It helps prepare you to act as a practice educator to students studying on pre-registration paramedic education programmes, approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), as well as newly qualified paramedics during their preceptorship period. Practice education is a multi-faceted role which includes drawing on excellent interpersonal skills to teach, assess, facilitate and role model expert practice. Practice based education is a critical component of the learning and development of the future paramedic and underpins lifelong learning.
