Sport & Exercise Science (Intercalated) - BSc (Hons) Degree

This BSc Sport & Exercise Science (Intercalated) degree is only open to medical students in the UK who are deemed suitable for intercalation by their ‘home university’. This is usually after the intermediate/pre-clinical phase of study, but variation may exist across different medical schools. This programme is not a ‘top-up’ course. By undertaking this degree, you will integrate with students on the final year of the ‘BSc (Hons) Sport & Exercise Science’ degree and work in the challenging sports and exercise environment, within first class sports science laboratories and sports facilities.

Applicants must have passed, at their first attempt, all the modules in the intermediate stage of their medical studies. Applicants must also have the approval of their current medical school. International Applicants Students whose first language is not English will need to provide evidence of fluency to at least an IELTS 6.0 standard or equivalent. For full details about how to apply and English Language qualifications please visit the International pages on the website. Selection Procedure In the first instance, you are advised to contact the programme director (see ‘Contact Us’). An application should then be made through UCAS. Please note that although the UCAS ‘Equal Consideration’ deadline is January 15th, applications are still considered right up to the start of the programme. We do not offer specific Open Days for this programme but, through the Programme Director, you can arrange for an informal visit to meet staff members and see the facilities.
