History

BPP was established in 1975 to train accountancy students. In 1992, it was renamed BPP Law School. In 2005, it was again renamed as BPP College of Professional Studies. In 2010, it changed its name to BPP University College of Professional Studies. In 2007, it was granted its degree-awarding power. In 2013, it was granted the university title and became BPP University.

BPP has study centres in many places, including Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Leeds, Liverpool, London, and Manchester.

  1. London Central (Holborn) study centre is near the historic inns of Court and Law Society and is just a few minutes walk from Holborn and Chancery Lane underground stations.
  2. London North (Kings Cross) study centre is served by a total of six tube lines, countless bus routes, four national rail networks (including First Capital Connect), and the Eurostar.
  3. London West (Shepherd's Bush) study centre is just a five-minute walk from Shepherd’s Bush underground and overground stations.
  4. The London East (Portsoken) study centre is near the Square Mile and just a bit of a walk from the city’s famous financial district.
  5. London South (Waterloo) study centre is less than five minutes walk from Waterloo rail and underground station.
  6. Leeds study centre is just a three-minute walk from Leeds train station and the main shopping areas.
  7. Manchester study centre is a two-minute walk from Manchester Oxford Road train station and five minutes from the main shopping areas.
  8. The Newcastle Study Centre lies opposite the Newcastle Central train station.
