To be eligible for this scholarship you must be applying for the first year of full-time study on an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate master’s programme. Self-funded students who successfully complete the International Foundation Year at Salford with a grade of 70 or higher, are eligible for this scholarship if they progress to one of our eligible undergraduate programmes. If you are an undergraduate applicant, you must hold an offer for an eligible programme and achieve A-level grades ABB or equivalent from your country. Equivalent qualifications are shown on our country pages. If you are a postgraduate applicant, you must hold an offer for an eligible programme, achieve a first-class degree and meet your offer conditions by the deadline shown on your offer letter (equivalent qualifications are shown on our country pages). Students on the following courses are not eligible for this scholarship: MA Wildlife Documentary Production Any postgraduate research courses

If you are successfully offered this scholarship, you must accept your offer of admission and pay your tuition fee deposit by the deadline specified in order to receive the funding.

If you are an undergraduate applicant, you must hold an offer for an eligible programme and achieve A-level grades BBC or equivalent from your country. Equivalent qualifications are shown on our country pages. If you are a postgraduate applicant, you must hold an offer for an eligible programme, achieve at least a second-class lower (2.2) degree or above and meet your offer conditions by the admission deadline (equivalent qualifications are shown on our country pages). For qualifying applicants, the IFY Excellence Scholarship is worth £2,500 for one year of study on the IFY programme starting from September 2026. Self-funded IFY students who achieve good grades may have access to further scholarships - including the Global Gold Excellence Scholarship and Global Silver Excellence Scholarship when they progress to their undergraduate programmes. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be self-funding and applying for the International Foundation Year. You must have achieved (as a minimum) the following grades, depending on your qualification. For all other qualifications, eligibility is assessed by the Admissions team on a case-by-case basis according to academic merit. The Admissions team will assess your eligibility upon receipt of your application.
