Other eligibility requirements This offer applies to full-time and part-time campus based, blended and distance learning students who start a new postgraduate programme, and is open to all students who have graduated from a full-time or part-time undergraduate degree course (excluding HND and foundation degrees). This offer also applies to full and part-time campus based, blended and distance learning MPhil, PhD and professional doctorate programmes. To be eligible for the Alumni Discount you must: Have graduated with a Staffordshire University undergraduate degree or postgraduate award from Staffordshire University or an approved Collaborative Academic Partner institution. Be self-financing the tuition fee for your programme. If you've applied for a Masters or Doctoral Loan from Student Finance you will still be classed as self-financing. Not be taking a course that is fully funded by the Teaching Agency, the NHS or any other statutory organisation. Not be in receipt of another Staffordshire University discount, bursary or scholarship that exceeds the total fee reduction you may receive through the alumni discount scheme. Eligibility

The criteria for the Horizon Fund bursary is subject to change each academic year – please review the eligibility criteria below before applying. Prospective students must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible to apply for the one of the bursaries: First year undergraduate only (Level 4) Primary address within 20 miles of one of our Staffordshire or Shropshire campuses (These campuses are Stoke-on-Trent, Blackheath Lane, Lichfield and Shrewsbury) Attain high achieving grades via the UCAS ranking system Have joined the University from a College or School 6th Form having studied A Level, T Level or BTEC* Paying full tuition fees as a full-time on-campus student Have a household income of below £30,000 per annum that is assessed by their award authority and have given consent for this information to be shared with the University Studying a non-funded course (i.e., not entitled to receive any government support, NHS bursary recipients are still eligible to apply) Be the first-degree course taken, regardless of whether the course was completed or not To not have repeated any year of the course being taken Not receiving any other Horizon Fund Bursary or Scholarship this academic year

Eligibility

Other eligibility requirements The PGCE Bursary comprises six awards of £500 each. The bursary aims to assist PGCE students with the growing costs of resources whilst training to become a teacher. Funding is available to students who meet the following criteria: Be studying a non-funded PGCE Have household income of under £30,000 Students must be actively engaged in their studies, with failure to do this resulting in the removal of the bursary. Students must also be willing to be involved in University publicity campaigns e.g., social media, web, news articles, and magazines if required.

The SMART scholarship represents a £3,000 discount that will be applied to every year of your tuition fees (this excludes placement years).

Eligibility

In recognition of the outstanding talent and achievements of many of our overseas applicants, we are pleased to be offering our SMART Scholarship. SMART Scholarships are available for full-time, campus-based international fee-paying students. For these entries, the SMART scholarship represents a £3,000 discount that will be applied to every year of your tuition fees (please note: this excludes placement years). To be eligible for the SMART scholarship, you must: Be an international tuition fee-paying student. Have accepted an offer for a full-time taught course at Staffordshire University (Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford, and London campuses only). This excludes undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Nursing, Paramedic Science, Operating Department Practice, Social Work, Midwifery, blended and distance learning courses. You won’t be eligible if you: Are receiving full or partial funding for your studies from a sponsor or other scholarship provider Are applying to study a Staffordshire University course at a partner institution Are receiving any other Staffordshire University scholarship or discount. If you are eligible for another Staffordshire University scholarship or discount, the discount which holds the greatest value will be applied

There is no deadline for the SMART scholarship, but you must ensure that you submit your application with sufficient time to meet all conditions of your offer and obtain a visa to arrive on time for the start of Welcome Week. All applications from eligible students will be considered for a scholarship by our International Admissions team. You will be notified of your scholarship in your offer letter and the discount will be automatically applied to your first year tuition fee.
