The Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) in AI and Automation Practitioner (Higher Apprenticeship) is designed for individuals who want to develop practical skills in artificial intelligence, automation, process improvement, and digital transformation.

As organisations increasingly adopt AI-enabled technologies, there is growing demand for professionals who can identify opportunities for automation, improve business processes, and support organisational change. This apprenticeship combines academic learning with workplace application, enabling you to develop knowledge and skills that can be applied directly within your organisation. Through a blend of face-to-face teaching, online learning, and workplace-based activities, you will learn how to analyse business processes, design AI-enabled solutions, evaluate their effectiveness, and support continuous improvement. Entry requirements

The University will liaise with employers regarding entry requirements, but would normally expect Apprentices to meet our standard entry requirements:

48 UCAS Points (or above)

DD (A-Level)

PPP (BTEC)

Pass D or E (T Level)

All applicants under 19 are required to hold GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or Level 2 equivalents).

All applicants must be employed for more than 30 hours per week in a suitable role and have the support of their employer.
