Birmingham City University is a prestigious institute in Birmingham, England, UK. Founded in 1843, it was named Birmingham College of Art as a polytechnic in 1971 and achieved its university status in 1992. The institute has two main campuses and four faculties.

BCU offers more than 306 undergraduate courses, 193 postgraduate courses, and some of the most esteemed scholarships, making it a wise choice for international students. The university ensures that the teaching methods, research quality, and student support remains at the highest standards.

The employability rate stands at a whopping 97%. It is among the top ten multidisciplinary universities in England.

It is the sweet home of over 38,000 students from 100 different corners of the world and more than 4,500 international students. History

History can be traced back to 1843, when the Birmingham College of Art was founded. With time, it merged with various local institutions, resulting in Birmingham Polytechnic in 1971. In 1992, the polytechnic was granted its university under the name of the University of Central England. In 2007, the institute was renamed ‘Birmingham City University.’ It is among the largest universities in the West Midlands. The University of Central England in Birmingham inspired a new logo for BCU.
