History

Several attempts were made in 1919 and 1947 to establish a university in Norwich, but due to lack of funding, it was not possible. In 1960, the University of East Anglia was set up for biology and English students. Initially, the teaching programmes took place in the temporary "University Village," which was officially formed in 1963. UEA was among the plate glass universities constructed in that period.

Transportation

University of East Anglia has easily accessible routes by public transport, bikes, and cars. The city has its own international airport, ‘Norwich Airport.’
